Africare is a US based NGO established in 1970 and has been working with Nigeria since 1978 and is currently operating more than 150 cummunity-based development projects in 25 African Countries. Africare has long lasting experience in the design and delivery of tehcnical, training, material and financial assistant to self-help efforts in the fields of health/HIV-AIDS, food security, natural resources management, Miro-enterprise, Civil Society, water resources development and good governance. Health programs are very important to Africare’s work in all countries where it operates and constitute about one-quarter of Africare’s overall development assistance effort. Africare main office in Nigeria is in Abuja and has field offices in Port Harcourt, Asaba, Uyo and Benin City with smaller satellite offices in Cross Rivers and Bayelsa.
The Africare is funded by Chevron, the Malaria control and Health Promotion in Flood Affected Populations Project had a goal of reducing the prevalence and mortality related to malaria in communities like Idah in Kogi State, Agenebode in Edo state and KOko, Ogbe-Ijaw in Delta State.
Job Title: Project Driver
Job Location: Abuja and Benin – 4 Positions
Job Duties:
- you will under the guidance and supervision of the Project Officer, the Project Driver will carry out responsibilities
- you will drive project vehicla in a professional manner ensuring safety of staff and vehicle at all times
- you will inspect vehicle daily to ensure they safe to drive and make recommendations for needed repare
- you help oversee the repair of vehicle to very that valid parts were used and the work quoted on the invoice was performed
- you will assist in sending faxes, courier and other errands
Job Requirement:
. Minimum of Secondary School Certificate
. Minimum of 3 years experience in driving
. Applicant should be able to read, write and speak simple english
. applicant must not be indulge in alcohol
