THE IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE Candidates should have at least 10 years post NYSC cognate experience from reputed organizations and possess a University Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower in any of the following disciplines.
Science: Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, Stratigraphy, Physics, Surveying and Mathematics etc.
Engineering: Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Instrumentation, Drilling, Process, Environmental, Pipeline, Marine, Materials/Metallurgical Engineering.
Information Technology: Programming and Software Engineering, Sharepoint Development, Social Network Community Evangelism, Enterprise Architecture and Database Administration.
Business/Finance: Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Insurance, etc.
Social Sciences: Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources etc.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS
DRILLING ENGINEER (REF NO: EH/DRE.02) The Successful Candidate will assist In monitoring and reviewing daily drilling operations and the collation of drilling data for regular reporting. She/He will also liaise with other Operational Departments for formal evaluation. The ideal candidate should have a good University Degree In Petroleum Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
GEOLOGIST (REF NO: EH/GEP. 01.02) The successful candidate will assist in seismic data acquisition and interpretation, as well correlation and mud logging activities. She/he will also prepare regular geological activity reports. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Geology and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
GEOPHYSICIST (REF NO: EH/GEP. 01.03) The successful candidate will be responsible to coordinate Geophysics Research and services to improve exploration processes. Furthermore, She/he will be responsible to process seismic data acquired on land or transition zones qualitatively and to international standard. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Geophysics and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
PETROLEUM / PRODUCTION ENGINEER (REF NO: EH/GEP. 01.04) The successful candidate will monitor work –over and production operations, production related jobs and contracts with a view to achieving cost effectiveness. She/he will monitor operators’ activities in the area of initial well completions, recompletion, work-over and production related maintenance activities. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Petroleum Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
WELL SITE ENGINEER (REF NO: EH/WES.02) The successful candidate will assist in monitoring, drilling, work-over, completion and recompletion operations at well sites. She/he will also prepare monthly drilling inventory and time distribution reports. The candidate may also be required to supervise NNPC JV partners. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Petroleum/ mechanical Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
RESERVOIR ENGINEER (REF NO: EH/RES.01) The successful candidate will assist in monitoring the performance of producing reservoirs and advise management on ensuring optimal production. She/he will also carry out reservoir studies and economic evaluations of producing and non-producing fields. The idea candidate should have a good university degree in Petroleum Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER (REF NO: EH/MEE. 01) The candidate will maintain operations integrity, reliability and availability at the maximum level of all mechanical facilities to ensure production and deliveries according to plan and requirements. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (REF NO: EH/ELE.02) The successful candidate will plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. She/He will also devise new approaches to problems, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, and acceptable standards. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree In Electrical/Instrument/Control Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
ELECTRONICS ENGINEER (REF NO: EH/ELT.02) The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and modification of existing designs and electro – mechanical instrumentation. She/he will be involved in troubleshooting and preparation of the plant for turn – around maintenance. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Electronics Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
CHEMICAL ENGINEER (REF NO: EH/CHE.01.02) The successful candidate will be responsible to monitor actual plant operations in the Refineries and participate in projects design and implementation. The idea candidate should have a good university degree in Process/Chemical Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
COST ENGINEER ( REF NO: EH/COE.02) The successful candidate will perform a variety of cost engineering functions encompassing estimating. She/he will also interpret contract, manage financial risk, estimating and forecasting. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Quantity Survey/ Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. The candidate should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
PROJECT ENGINEER (REF NO: EH/PRE.01) The successful candidate will be responsible for coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. S/he will also plan, schedule, conduct, and facilitate as well monitor work for compliance with standards and to avoid slippage. The idea candidate should have good university degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Civil Engineering. A good knowledge of project management will be an added advantage. The candidate should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
MARINE ENGINEER (REF NO: EH/MAE.03) The ideal candidate will assist to supervise engagement changes allotment and welfare of the crew, ensure validity of their documentation, assist to maintain the vessel in class and comply with international requirements. She/he will also assist to organize and arrange the survey and dry docking of owned vessel, assist to arrange for supply, maintenance and update of all navigational equipment and charts. Assist to ensure that all safety regulations concerning vessel and safe cargo operations are complied with. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Marine Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
PETRO PHYSICIST (REF NO: EH/PEP.02) The successful candidate will supervise the evaluation of wire line logs in order to determine the hydrocarbon levels in drilling operations. She/He will also participate in geological and reservoir studies/reviews. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Geology/Geophysicist/Petroleum Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
CRU PROCESS OPERATOR (REF NO: EH/CRU.01) The successful candidate will operate process and service units within the prescribed limit to achieve production targets for quantity and quality, safely and efficiently. She/He will also be required to prepare equipment for maintenance in accordance with appropriate procedures, participate in shutdowns and manage process and service unit’s start-ups and shutdowns. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Process/Chemical Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
FCC OPERATOR (REF NO: EH/FCC.01) The successful candidate will operate the process and service units within the prescribed limit to achieve production targets for quantity and quality, safely and efficiently. INSPECTION & TESTING (REF NO: EH/ITE.03) The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing execution of mechanical projects and maintenance of mechanical equipment. The candidate will also participate in project conceptualization and design. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Mechanical/Material/Metallurgical Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
WELDING TECHNICIANS (REF NO: EH/WET.03.01) The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding/ fabrication jobs are carried out at all times. She/He will also participate in maintenance and project implementation. The ideal candidate should have a good higher national diploma in Welding Technology and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN (REF NO: EH/INT.01) The successful candidate will be responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaption of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. She/he will also devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, chart and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, and acceptable engineering standards. The ideal candidate should have a good higher national diploma in Instrumentation/Control Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
ROTATING EQUIPMENT ENGINEERING (REF NO: EH/REE.03) The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring and maintaining rotating equipment and also coordinate the activities of rotating equipment engineering. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Mechanical Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
EQUIPMENT SUPPORT ENGINEER REF NO: EH/ESE.01) The candidate will ensure the proper functioning of all analytical digital equipment, make appropriate recommendation for purchase/maintenance of such equipment, and ensure its proper installation. The ideal candidate should have a good university degree in Electronics Engineering and should not be more than 45 years of age by December 2012.
