Secretary / Personal Assistant to the CEO needed by a fashion firm in LAGOS

A start-up company operating in the fashion industry requires the services of a bright young female to fill this position.


Responsibilities:



  • The person must be efficient, self-motivated, organized, IT literate and must be a good communicator.

  • The individual must be willing to assist the CEO in actualizing the vision of the company,

  • Must be willing to learn and must be willing to support the CEO in reaching company targets, delivering on strategic goals and assisting the company in its growth process.

  • Secretarial and office management functions;

  • Conducting research & presenting findings;

  • Maintaining telephone correspondence between clients and vendors of the company;

  • Booking meetings and preparing correspondence on behalf of the CEO;

  • Maintaining the companys filing and database system;

  • Planning, organizing and managing events;

  • Managing budgets and sourcing resources for the company;

  • Managing clients, vendors and staff of the company;

  • Ability to represent CEO at events and meetings when principal is unavailable;

  • Producing documents, writing reports, preparing basic presentations, etc;

  • Sourcing and ordering stationery and office equipment;

  • Managing the CEO's diary and to-do list, ensuring all deliverables are met within the stipulated time frame;

  • Various administrative duties such as data management, filing, updating stock levels, managing an address book, etc.

  • Ability to provide timely and efficient support to the CEO, including business and personal errands;

  • Other administrative duties as assigned.




Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years work experience in a similar position.

  • Someone with certification in Office management and secretarial duties would be an added advantage

  • Candidate should live, preferably, within the Surulere area and its environs for convenience.

  • Excellent Secretarial and Office Management skills;

  • Excellent Spoken and Written English;

  • Excellent typing abilities with good knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.

  • Ability to conduct basic internet research.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills;

  • Excellent multi-tasking and time-management skills;

  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure with minimal supervision;

  • Ability to think on their feet;

  • Excellent client relationship and marketing skills

  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and networking skills;

  • Sound telephone ethics;

  • Ability to keep records and have basic book-keeping skills.

  • Visual presentation is key!  Candidate must look and dress smart!

  • Candidate must be punctual.

  • Candidate must be intelligent, be able to use own initiative, proactive and street-smart, yet must be willing to learn;

  • Candidate must maintain a high level of confidentiality;

  • Candidate must be patient, humble, respectful, honest, trustworthy, responsible and dependable;

  • Candidate must have a friendly disposition and have a strong drive to succeed;

  • Candidate must be "aware" of happenings in the industry and immediate environment;

  • Candidate must be flexible and have sound work ethics.
