Nigeria's Funke Oshonaike and Segun Toriola began their campaign for glory at the 2012 London Olympics with victories in the table tennis event on Saturday.
Toriola defeated Canada's Andre Ho 4-1 in the Olympic men's Table tennis while Oshonaike beat Iran's Neda Shahsavari 4-3 in the Olympic women's Table tennis singles preliminaries to reach the next round.
Both games were played at ExCeL in London .
Meanwhile, Egypt's Dina Meshref beat Nigeria's Offiong Edem 4-2 in the Olympic women's table tennis singles preliminaries at the 2012 London Games on Saturday. Meshref won at ExCeL in London to reach the next round.
